CAT012: "The Waterfalls of Watkins Glen" Coleman Zurkowski

"I recorded the material for The Waterfalls of Watkins Glen while walking the Gorge Trail at Watkins Glen State Park in New York. The recording begins at the park entrance and ends at the trail’s conclusion. In the two miles of the trail, the stream of Watkins Glen descends 400 feet over 200-foot cliffs, creating 19 waterfalls. Throughout my walk, I stopped to record approximately one minute of sound at 45 different points along the trail to create this 45-minute release. I made the recording on a particularly hot day at the end of summer, and the Watkins Glen Gorge Trail is a popular outdoor activity in Watkins Glen, NY.  So, you may hear spectators enjoying the sounds with you while listening :) I hope you enjoy walking with me and listening to The Waterfalls of Watkins Glen.
