Carrie Furniss is a vocalist, songwriter, synth player, and improviser based in Ridgewood. After cutting her teeth in active bands like Pleaser and Dressage and dead bands like Birthing Hips (RIP), “Bitter and Sweet” is her first ever solo project. On this record, the worlds of bedroom pop, improvisation, synthesizers, experimental music, and her tongue-in-cheek lyrics collide to make one big fun mess.
